It’s that age old story again, is my glass half full or is it half empty?
This is largely due to folklore, old women’s tales and an enormous media machine that has heavily pushed this theory during the last 10 years or so.

We managed to make it through Y2K without any issues, no huge computer outages, no mass destruction, no nothing and as a result, the feeling is’ they’ need to find another way of spreading stress, panic & anxiety throughout the masses.
The Mayan civilization’s believe was as this, the universe did have natural epochs and one such epoch is forecast to finish in December 2012.
Whilst the reason why they did not continue their calendars past 2012 will probably never be known, it is way more feasible that after the calendars were written, December 2012 had been so far into the future that it’s understandable that the year 2012 was totally irrelevant.
Certainly the Mayan civilisation existed within a culture which was significantly more volatile than modern day society therefore their particular variations of divinely motivated changes would have generally been more dynamic than ours.
